Once upon a time, a group of 50 people attended a seminar. Suddenly the invited speaker stopped and started giving each person a balloon.
Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room.
Now these delegates were let in that room and asked to find the balloon which had their respective names written on within 5 minutes.
Everyone was frantically searching for their names, pushing and colliding with each other, and there was utter chaos. At the end of 5 minutes, no one could find their own balloons.
Now each one was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloons.
The speaker began: "This is exactly what is happening in our lives. Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all over the place, not knowing where it is.
Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Helping them find their happiness and you will get your own happiness too.
And this is the purpose of human life.
Learn to put a smile on someone's face, and you will also smile in due course."
I had to share the above story to make you understand that when you're making others to succeed in life you're also successful. This is the power of team work.
It was for this reason that made Zig Zigler to state that, "You’ll always have everything in life that you want if you’ll help enough other people get what they want.”
My dear friend reading this, make conscious efforts to incorporate this concept into your daily life, I can assure you it will make a tremendous difference in your whole life.
I want to share a secret with you: Making others better is a boomerang. It in turns better you more.
Your help could be in form of giving extra money, saying a prayer, listening to them, giving good advice, or the right equipment, information and supplies they need to get ahead.
A verse in the Bible further buttress this point. It says, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbor, 'Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,' When you have it with you (Proverbs 3: 27-28 NKJV)."
You posses something in your possession that can bless someone. Maybe it’s a timely word, a much-needed piece of advice, a monetary gift to meet a need, or a simple thank you or appreciation for something well done.
Don't withhold your help. No matter how trivial. Let's grow and succeed together. It's much better we do, for it kills jealousy, strife and envy amongst us.
I hope you'd begin to extend a helping hand as from today?
Did I hear you say a YES?!
Oh! Thank you!
I love you more for making that decision.
Remain blessed.
